I stumbled across one of those fake creator reel profiles on Facebook again today. I gotta say, they are using a damn good custom video AI model — very convincing. I had to check the profile multiple times before concluding it was AI.
Almost perfect lip, face, eye, hand, and body movement. However, to a trained eye like mine, I can tell it’s not a human.

😁 3,000+ likes on that post alone!
😮 Over 40 shares!
These are stats a human creator could only dream of.
The comment section is filled with what I hope is mostly idiots or bots commending the “amazing artistic craft work.” I’d say 9 out of 10 comments praise the work, while the 1 in 10 — likely actual human commenters — are calling it out as AI slop. And that 10% are certainly getting piled on by bots and idiots claiming “it’s not AI.” (It absolutely is).
What makes it worse is that this profile makes no effort to disclaim that they are using AI. It’s deliberate deception that they are actively trying to pull the wool over people’s eyes.
It’s bloody annoying seeing a profile created about a year ago grow so big, so fast, whilst real, human creators are sweating their balls off right now just hoping to get a single like, a comment, a subscriber. Real creators aren’t milking the wins like this fake profile is.
And speaking of milking it — yes, the AI profile is likely monetised due to the sheer volume of likes, follows, views, and interactions, gaming the algorithm at the expense of real human creators.
It’s an AI clown world, and it’s insulting to anyone who actually creates for a living.
The verdict is clear. People are sick of AI slop. People don’t want it. They want real people dealing with real people.
Now, I’m not completely anti-AI. I do believe it has its place and its uses, particularly for delegation or disability assistance, to name a couple. But as I said, the room is clear on what people actually think of AI.
The people want real. Not fake.
